Snoqualmie Mountain is situated less than 3 miles north of Snoqualmie Pass and at 6,278ft it is one of the prominent peaks visible at the pass. In the summer, the peak offers steep trails and bushwalk, but in the winter this and other peaks in S-Pass area offer incredible ground for practice, fitness, technique and gear familiarization/selection. During this climb/course, you will learn how to safely navigate steep slopes in snowshoes, how to use crampons, how to pick safe route, learn basics about snow stability and proper gear selection for winter climbing. On the way down, we will descent directly to Alpental parking lot rappelling the last bits of steep slopes before reaching our car.
