Mera Peak at (6,476m/21,247ft) is a mountain in the Mahalangur section, and few days walk from Lukla. Yes, at 6,476 metres it is still classified as a trekking peak. Mera Peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks-fairly easy access and minimal technical difficulties, make it an ideal testing ground for somone wishing to climb higher mountains in the future. You really do not have to have much climbing experience to scale this rather high mountain- one thing we ask you is to be fit! Be in the best shape you can be and your chancess of success are quite high!

Leader/Guide: Domi Sherpa (if there is larger group Marek Wencel will assist)

We can save additional 3 days by flying helicopter from Khote to Luka (2 Days of walking+no need to wait for flight out of Lukla) For this option, there is an additional cost $500 per person and can be arranged in Khatmandu or even after summiting Mera Peak (we need four people to keep the price for helicopter)

• Total of three nights acommodations in Kathmandu
• All accomodations in the mountains; mountain lodges where available, otherwise tents.
• Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight

Flight and Visa info:

-The Best way to fly to Kathmandu (KTM) is from the West Coast of The United States. There are multiple Chinese Airlines offering round trip fares from $500-$700 Sometimes, Turkish Airlines, Emirates or Quatar Airlines have good options using their Middle East hubs.

-Nepali tourist visa can be obtained hassle free on arrival in Kathmandu; currently, the fee for 60 day visa is $40
Please have 2 passport photos and exact change redily available.

• Double insulated plastic boots or other warm mountaineering boots withstanding -15c/0F
• Climbing Harness, including main locking carabineer+4 flat carabiners+4 locking carabiners
• Down Jacket with hood (due to cold summit days, it must be expedition quallity down jacket)
• Ice Axe
• Crampons
• ascender
• Warm Gloves (mittens)
• Sleeping bag, -15C/5F or better
• Theremarest/Sleeping Pad
• Hiking Boots – Gore-Tex or waterproofed leather for approach
• Expedition Back Pack (Internal Frame 65 liters+)
• Day pack 40L for hike into Base Camp
• Headlamp
• Clothing:
• Light to mid weight synthetic top
• Mid Weight synthetic bottoms
• Extra synthetic top lightweight
• Fleece jacket (200-300 weight) 
• Gore-Tex/shell wind jacket/parka with hood or equivalent

• 2 Nageline wide mouth bottles for drinking+1 bottle for pee in the tent
• LUNCH/SNACKS
• Variety of nuts, power bars, dried fruit, energy gels, crackers, GU jells, powder drinks for mixing-Gatorade, or so. (Suggestion here; divide snacks into daily Ziploc portions)
• Required Medications: Antibiotics-Cipro-for possible food poisoning/lower body infections, Amoxicillin-for upper body/respiratory infections, Aspirin-helps in acclimatization, Diomax-helps in acclimatization (all mentioned medications can be purchased easily and without prescription in Kathmandu)
• Crew Treks will supply group medical kit for major emergencies, but everyone is supposed to have the above medications
