Leader: Nicolas Secul-Native Patagan from Punta Arenas. Nicolas has been a guide in Torres del Paine park for number of years, he also is an accomplished climber and skier. He has summited all three Torres Towers and skied around the entire Torres Massif.

Day 1 (Nov 01 2017) Depart for Patagonia
Day 2 (Nov 02 2017) Arrive in Santiago, Chile/Overnight/little sightseeing and dinner.
Day 3 (Nov 03 2017) Bike city tour! We will visit several markets and funky and artsy areas of the city. After lunch, we will do Winery Bike Tour!
Day 4 (Nov 04 2017) Fly to Punta Arenas City tour and visit historical sites and enjoy the town.
Day 5 (Nov 05 2017) Early in the morning, we will visit Penguin Colony on Isla Magdalena, this exciting trip is by boat and due to its remoteness it will take us half a day. (please understand, the trip to Penguin Colony is weather dependend and Crew Treks does not have control over the weather and boat operation due to the weather) After lunch in Punta Arenas, we will travel to Puerto Natales (3hrs 30min) and then transfer to hotel. We should have ample time to discover evening life of Puerto Natales.
Day 6 (Nov 06 2017) After early breakfast we will continue our journey on to Torres del Paine National Park (2hrs 30min) When we arrive to Laguna Amarga park entrance, we will then transfer to the park shuttle that will take us to Las Torres sector of the park.
Trekking to “BASE TORRES” (7 – 8 hours; 13 Km) the first hour and a half walking is steep but pleasant with fantastic views of Lake Nordenskjöld and Almirante Nieto Mtn. (2.670m) with it’s hanging glaciers until we reach Refugio El Chileno. Here we will check in and leave our heavy packs behind in our rooms. Then, carrying just a small back pack, we will continue the trail through a Millenary Lenga forest (1 hour) until the base of “the moraine” at which point a challenging ascent of about 30 min will take us to one of the most impressive lookouts in the park: “Base of Torres del Paine” where we will have the view of Torre Sur (9,350ft), Torre Central (9,186ft), Torre Norte (8,530ft) and Cerro Nido de Cóndor.

Day 7 (Nov 07 2017) Trekking from El Chileno to Los Cuernos Refugio
(4 – 5 hours, 11 Km) The trail goes through the Base of Almirante Nieto Mn. – part of the Paine Massif-, with great views to Nordenskjöld Lake; from November the flora presents different colors specially the “Ciruelillo or Fire Bush” which take its name from the red color of its flowers. After about 4 – 5 hours we will get to the Base of Los Cuernos where our Refugio is located, considered by many, one of the most charming sites in the whole park, a perfect spot to rest and recover energies for the next day challenging trek: “The French Valley”

Day 8 (Nov 8 2017) Trekking to French Valley
(10 – 12 hours, 25.3 Km) The first 2 hours are with some ascents and descents and views to Nordenskjöld Lake. The area is just magnificent with winding trail along the lake and picturesque vistas. Once we reach Italian Camp, we will again leave our heavy packs and continue with light daypacks. The ascent goes for about 1 hour and a half until French Glacier lookout, where you’ll be able to observe its hanging glaciers and opportunities to observe avalanches. After that the trail continues until “Campamento Británico” and after about 20 minutes we will reach the lookout point considered by many as one of the most overwhelming spots in the Circuit: “Mirador Británico”, where we will admire: “Paine Grande”, “Cerro Hoja”, “Cerro Máscara”, “Cerro Catedral”, “Cerro Aleta de Tiburón”, “Cuerno Norte”, etc. On the way down, and once we retrieve our packs, we will hike trough magnificent forest reminiscent of Narnia or Lord of the Rings settings.

Difficulty Level: Strenuous (this is our longest day)
Day 9 (Nov 09 2017) Trekking to Glacier Grey
(4 hours, 11 Km) Trek to Glacier Grey Lodge The trail cuts through the Western side of the Paine Massif with views to Grey Lake and Mountains. After one hour and a half we will reach the first lookout point, where one may observe Grey Glacier in the distance. Then after 1 and a half / two hours you will get to the Grey Lodge and magnificent views of the glacier.
Upon arrival, we will check in to our rooms and walk to the lake for 2hrs and 30m kayak tour of the lake and ice flows. Yes, this will be a magnificent moment! (kayak trip is weather dependent-Crew Treks does not have control over the weather and kayak runs. If we are unable to kayak, we will extend the trek further into the valley and go as far as hanging bridges)

Day 10 (Nov 10 2017)
Early after breakfast, we will return to Lodge Paine Grande and board fast boat operating on Lake Pehoe
After 30min boat ride we will transfer to shuttle that will take us to Puerto Natales and trip celebrations at local brewery!
Day 11 (Nov 11 2017)
After breakfast we will transfer to Punta Arenas and retrace our steps to hotel.
Day 12 (Nov 12 2017)
Early transfer to airport and Fly back to Santiago and end of the trip.
